Malachy Magee joined the Galetech Group in 2017 from a Financial Services Background with Irish Life Financial Services where he was employed as an Executive Finance Planner . He initially worked across a number of roles within the group including Galetech Energy Services and Galetech Measurement Services as a Business Development Manager.

He presently has six years’ experience working with Galetech Energy Developments in a number of roles including Community Relations, Business Development and Land Solutions where he has been very involved with the development team bringing forward a very strong pipe line of Wind and Solar projects over the past six years, some of which are already operational.

Malachy attended Dundalk and Carlow Institutes of Technology in the early seventies where he graduated with a degree in Business(Hons) specialising in Marketing and Sales Management which also covered Social Sciences, Mercantile law, Accountancy, Economics and Enterprise. He joined the Marketing Institute of Ireland and served on it’s National Council for two years when he was elected Chairperson of the North East Region of the Marketing Institute Branch in 1997 and 1998.

He is very actively involved in a number of important community development projects in Cavan/Monaghan over the past 20 years with sustainability, environmental, biodiversity, the outdoors and climate change at the core through Cootehill Area Development, Cootehill Chamber, Cootehill SEC and Cavan/Monaghan Local Authorities with Galetech support & encouragement.
